Rescue 13 soldiers from 14 killed in a destroyed building in Himachal,


The Indian Army, the Central Reserve Police and the police
jointly conducted a rescue operation. A national disaster
response team was also called from Panchkula in Haryana,

Solan: 13 soldiers and a woman were among the 14 people
who died after the collapse of a four-story building on the
Nakhan-Kumarkhatti road in the Solan district of Himachal


At the time of the incident, there were about 42 people in the
building, including 30 military personnel. Rescue teams retrieved
14 bodies from the wreckage and dragged out all the surviving

The rescued, who received several injuries, were placed in the
nearest hospital, as the NDRF teams, as well as military personnel
from the army, state security, and fire brigade participated in rescue operations.

In the building located on the Nakhan-Kumarkhatti road, there was
a restaurant on the top floor. He sagged because of the heavy rains
in the area.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Jairam Thakur visited this place to take
stock of the rescue efforts. He ordered a FIR against the owner of
the restaurant and said that an investigation would be conducted
to find out the causes of the incident. “The rescue work started on
time, then we called the NDRF,” he said.He also added that "the
reason for the failure will be clear after the release of the report.

Army javans from Assamese rifles who were killed or trapped
reportedly came to a restaurant from the nearby town of Dagshai
to celebrate the promotion of one of their colleagues. The woman
who died was identified as the wife of the restaurant owner.
