Eleven years after their final at Wimbledon in 2008, which many
consider to be the best match ever, Roger Federer and Rafael
Nadal met again at the All England club.

Unlike this grand fight more than a decade ago, Federer number
2 won his last fight, eventually knocking out Nadal number 3 in the
fifth match to win 7-6 (3), 1-6, 6-3, 6.,

. “In the end, it was difficult. Rafa made some incredible shots to
stay in the match, and I thought that the match was at a very high
level, and I liked it. The crowd was awesome. "

"The battles with Rafa are always very special, so it was nice."

Federer will now play seed number 1 and reigning champion Novak
Djokovic in Sunday's final.

Djokovic went through a 6–2, 4–6, 6–3, 6–2 victory over number 23
with the seed of Roberto Bautista Agut, who played in his first
semifinal of Grand Slam.

Federer will seek his 21st Grand Slam title, and Djokovic - on the
16th.

“He played well against Bautista Aguta, who, it seemed to me,
played a phenomenal tournament,” said Federer about Djokovic.
“And Novak was again the highest. He is the reigning champion,
and he showed why this week. He was firm from start to finish. I
hope that I can push him to the edge and, I hope, defeat him, but
it will be very difficult, as we know. He is not just number 1 by chance
. He has been so good over the past year, and it is always a special
match against Rafa.

"I am very, very excited, if not more."

After the victory, Djokovic said he plans to watch another semi-final.

“Of course I will watch this,” he told the BBC. “My coaches are likely to
see the whole match ... I also support this match. Federer-Nadal is one
of the greatest matches of all time, so I’m glad to see them play today. "
