World Cup 2019: semifinal qualifying scenario for Pakistan looks bleak

 AJ NEWS

If Pakistan wins its last round robin match against Bangladesh
on Friday, they will be tied up on points with New Zealand.
However, the lack of network launch speeds can be much
more difficult to overcome.

Pakistan, currently ranked fifth in the World Cup points table
with 9 points, is the only team not in the top four, which still
has a mathematical chance to reach the semi-finals. Australia
(14 points), India (13 points) and England (12 points) have
already consolidated in the semifinal.

Because of his defeat to England on Wednesday in New Zealand
(11 points), he still has to wait for Pakistan against Bangladesh to
be sure of the sleeping position in the top four, but their much
higher net running speed keeps them in good condition.

New Zealand lost England on 119 tracks, and now they have a
net running speed of +0.175.

Pakistan, having suffered a serious defeat at this World Cup,
has a net jog of -0.792.

If Pakistan wins its last round robin match against Bangladesh
on Friday, they will be tied up on points with New Zealand.
However, the lack of a network launch speed may be too difficult
to overcome.

AJ NEWS

If Pakistan wins first against Bangladesh, it needs to win at least
308 runs to beat New Zealand in a clean run. If they score 308
runs and fire Bangladesh for 0, they will reach the semi-finals.
If they score 350 and win 312 runs, they will qualify. If they score
400 and win 316 runs, they will qualify. If they scored less than
308 points, they cannot claim.

No ODI has won more than 300 launches in history.
Pakistan cannot claim second place because they will have to
revise goals with smaller zeros, which is mathematically impossible.
